Parent Support

Counselling, training and a support network for parents and siblings.

Because of a lack of awareness about Down syndrome, many families are unable to help their child — and often struggle to cope themselves. Over time this can lead to burnout, leaving parents unable to guide their child as they would wish.

Our founder knows this journey first-hand. As she puts it: “Not a single parent should be left helpless who wish to do their best for a child born with Trisomy 21.”

How we help

Our team of experts keeps parents and families informed about current trends and treatment plans, and offers practical support on a voluntary basis. We run counselling and training programmes for parents and siblings, and bring families together through a parent support network and social gatherings, so that no one has to find the answers alone.
